Introducing Competence Assessment

The package provides information and training to nurses involved in assessing students in the clinical practice elements of their studies. The aims of the programme are to

  • Focus on the key issues associated with introducing competence based assessment methodology to nurse education programmes
  • Give guidance and promote high standards of professional education.
  • Ensure a common understanding of the issues associated with maintaining a standard of assessment associated with the registration/degree programme in nursing.
