Annual Retention Fee:
Renewal notices for the 2011 retention fee have been sent out. The retention fee for 2011 is due on 1st January 2011.
Payment of Retention Fee:
- Online at www.nursingboard.ie
- Lo-Call 1890 200116 (Republic of Ireland only) to pay Visa, Mastercard and laser Card. This line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Direct Debit, by completing the mandate enclosed with your renewal notice. Please note that the last date for receipt of new direct debit mandates is 17 December 2010. Nurses and Midwives who have already completed a direct debit mandate do not need to complete another one.
- Bank Giro, by bringing your renewal Notice into a participating bank.
Change of address details cannot be taken over the phone.
Please notify this office of any change of address in order that your Annual Retention Card is sent to the correct address. You can change your address in one of the following ways:
- Online at www.nursingboard.ie
- By e-mail at registration@nursingboaerd.ie (Include An Bord Altranais PIN, old address, new address and full name as registered)
- By post to Registration Department, An Bord Altranais, 18/20 Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock, Co Dublin. (Include An Bord Altranais PIN, old address, new address and full name as registered)
It is intended that your annual certificate will issue within 7-10 working days of receipt of payment.
Restoration to the Register:
Please note the following regarding the restoration fee for nurses/midwives erased from the register for non-payment of the retention fee:
- A restoration fee of €145.00 is required for all nurses/midwives erased from the register from 1st January 2011 (Please contact the Accounts Department at accounts@nursingboard.ie if you require details on the restoration fee prior to the 1st January 2011).
- Nurses/midwives erased from the register from 2007 are required to pay an additional fee of €100 as a contribution towards the legal costs of the erasure process (as Ordered by the High Court).
- Payment of all arrears of Annual Retention Fees is required (Please contact the Accounts Department at accounts@nursingboard.ie for calculations).
